Problems opening folders

Question

Problem with Explorer (I think) in XP professional.   When I try to open a subfolder that I created in My Documents, the Search dialogue box opens instead of the folder.  Does anyone have a clue why this is happening and how to fix it?   Thanks, J.

Try this: Open My Documents, click Tools then Folder Options, on General tab, click Restore Defaults, on View tab, click Restore Defaults, Apply and OK.
