problems since service pack two

Hi,

 

Since upgrading to service pack two and simultaneasly not renewing my mcaffee firewall (because you get a firewall with service pack two) i now am having problems with connection.  It keeps disconnecting and re connecting itself.

 

I have tried to uninstall mcaffee  firewal to prevent the idea of to firewalls running at the same time and it won't let me uninstall mcaffee.  I have a black "M" in the corner of my screen (bottom right) and also every time i start the computer up - i get a verfiy question about mcafee asking me to verify my firewall - which i don't want to do and would love to get rid of this message.

 

Please help - as i really am an Eliza Dolittle when it comes to computers as she was to speaking.
