Problems Still With About:Blank Homepage

I have a Dimension 8250 with XP and I am having problems with the internet home page.

I have tried everything to get rid of the about:blank homepage.  I edited the registry, but when I try again, I keep getting the same home page. I at least know that the results with the #14044's  are the problems, but I don't know what else to do already.  And when i run hijackthis again, it is still there even after I delete it.   I ran hijackthis and listed below is the results I got:

twinstoo2,

Have you tried running Ad-Aware and Spybot as described in this article? If you have, you should post your HijackThis log in the HijackThis board.

When you post, be sure to include the complete log. There are lines identifying the HijackThis, OS, and browser versions missing from the log you posted.

Here is an idea. First download and install microsoft antispyware you have to do it iregular mode.

Now unplug your internet connection. Next go into safe mode. Go int control panel > internet option> delete temp files and cookies next set your homepage to what you want. apply changes. Now run Ms antispyware. remove anything it find next go into hijackthis again and remove any relevant entries. Now turn the computer off in fact unplug it. Leave it turned off for 5 minutes (go have a drink and think of something other than computers). Now come back to the computer plug the internet reboot. try your internet if its not fixed.

if this doesnt work I personaly would try one of 2 things
format reinstall or download netscape or firefox and be happy with one of them
