You could check control panel, Sounds and audio devices, sounds tab, see if the sounds for fax are listed and are correct. If not, make the adjustments there, save the sounds theme.

Thanks for suggestion. Checked it out and RINGIN.WAV is already selected against FAX Received.

Any other suggestions would be welcome.
