Procomm on XP

I have just installed four new Dimension 2400's with XP Professional.  We connect to our unix server via Procomm - Zmodem - COM1 - CAT 5 cable.  Here's the odd thing. Two of the four work fine.  The other two connect to the unix server and show a login prompt but when I type nothing happens.  It's not getting any response from the keyboard.   I can use Hyperterminal to connect and login fine on the same machine.  Any suggestions!?!!?

Hello Wings25fan,

I'm surprised that two of the four connnect at all.

I was under the impression after reading the readme file that Procomm was not compatible at all with xp.

Yep, I've been using it on my XP Home on my desktop and laptop at home for over a year now with no problems.  It doesn't make sense that the hyperterminal will connect and I can type just fine...Procomm pull up the login but just wont accept anything from the keyboard...GRRR

Me too.  I didn't think it was compatible.  The last version of Procomm Plus that I used was with a DOS system.

It's working on 4 of the 9 pc's.  I have HotVT running on the others and it's working fine....still stumped as to why it worked on some but not all.
