Program not responding - message

Question

When I attempt to log off the computer I receive the following message: End Program - hpqste 08.exe   followed by: This program is not responding.   Is there something I can do to correct the problem? I want to be able to log off without getting any messages. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Mike

You must have an HP printer or scanner. HP should have a fix at their site. Make sure you are not using the old printer software with XP. It doesn't work--Toolbox, etc.. Just install the generic XP drivers for the older printer available at the HP site.
