The Canon ZoomBrowser is only displaying what picture files you have on the hard drive, it isn't actually storing them in a special folder. You will have to go to the actualy folder that has the pictures to copy them to CD, not from the Zoom Browser. e.g. The pictures I have are found in My Documents\My Pictures and if I wanted to burn a CD with picture files I would select the ones I wanted from the My Pictures folder.
I had the Cannon program running on Win 98 (my old computer) and just bought this Dell with Win XP last week.
The old system (win 98) did have the pictures sent to My Documents. After I installed the Cannon program on the XP: on getting the pictures from the camera, they are not in My Documents or My pictures or any of the sub files in My Documents (I cant find them any where except in the Cannon program).
There is something that I don't know about XP that is part of the problem. Any suggestions?
My wife hid the gun when the Dell came in (she knows me) but forgot to hide the hammer (it can do a job on a dog gone new computer).
I have the Canon Zoom Browser, version 3.5.1.8 that came with a new Canon printer I recently bought. All it is doing is showing the pictures that are in a folder.
If you have an older version, it may not be Windows XP compatible and one of the problems. Not all older programs are XP compatible (or not 100% compatible).
Thanks, that may be the problem. The disk states it is EX compatable but EX was new at the time. I found where I could change the destination for the prictures but it will only allow the pictures to be sent into other Cannon Zoom files. I guess I should contact Cannon to find where I could get an updated program.
