Program Uninstall

Okay guys I did something really stupid and now I can't figure out how to get out of it. A few months ago, I loan my laptop to my friend for a few months while he worked on a project. He installed Trend Micro Remote File Lock on my laptop running Vista 32bit Ultimate. Anyway, he used an email account that he no longer has/uses so he is unable to retrieve the password. I am trying to uninstall the program because I do not need it, and besides cannot access it. The program requires you have a password to uninstall and he is unable to provide that for me. I tried contacting Trend but got no help because they feel it would be a privacy violation as I did not install the program. Anyway, he claims he does not need that data anymore but I want to be able to uninstall or delete the program without having to lose my stuff. I tried erasing it through dos but did not get too far more because I am not much of an expert. I am hoping someone here can provide me with a procedure that will allow me to delete/uninstall/erase this software by-passing the password and just wiping it clean. I would really appreciate any help provided. Thanks in advance.

Well thanks a lot fellas, I have gotten new info on what is actually going on. I never had trend micro on my computer before he got it. I had Macafee (forgive my spelling), so I believe this is an unauthorized use of Trend software. He claims it is better than Macafee. Well I guess I will do the back up and reformat, it seems to be the best option at this time. Thanks to all that helped with this issue.
