Program uninstalled but still listed

Question

I uninstalled some software but it is still on the list of programs on the add/remove list. When I attempt to remove the program in add/remove a box appears with the message cannot open C drive, program files , program name. The file however is not in Program files since I removed it. How can I remove the listing of the program in the add/remove list?

There is no listing for the program in the registry.

Try this program and click on the 'tools' button on the left. It will bring up a list of uninstall programs. Highlite the program (if present) and select the 'Delete Entry' button:
