PROGRAMS NOT RESPONDING
I am getting the message "PROGRAM IS NOT RESPONDING" everytime I try to open something. It makes no difference if I am online or not.
I have ran Ad Ware, Norton and I have checked for the Sasser virus. I have run disk scan, disk cleanup and disk defrag.
I have called numerous time but received no help.
No Events found!

Which version of Windows are you running? Have you tried to use System Restore to go back to a configuration present before this problem started? Did you add any new software or hardware just prior to this problem appearing? When you scanned with Norton Antivirus, did you do so with up-to-date virus definitions?

If your using Xp, try to identify any system error messages by doing this:
Go to your Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Event Viewer Check under the System Tab for any listed error messages. If any are found, repost them in a new thread or go to http://www.google.com and input the error message in the search box to see if solution may be listed. Kip

Hi,
You have got a trojan/spyware etc.
Download and run
Spybot Search & Destroy http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.html
If that does not find it you will have to use
HijackThis http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/

try MSCONFIG use this to link to Help Identify the programs
You might also use it to identify what is running in the background and not listed in MSCONFIG
CTRL-ALT-DEL in the Task Manager Look on the Processes Tab

Hi,
Is it the spyware programs you cant run?
If you can get online, here are two excellent scanners which might find something.

I found 2512 items in the event viewer.
I ran Spybot and found 43 items and removed them.

I`m not sure what you mean. Did you run the scanners and they found and fixed 2512 problems?
Is your system OK now?
Please don`t apologise. We all started out knowing nothing. Just try to give us as much informaton as possible when you post.
So, what is happening now?

Thank you for your patience. In the middle of this problem I moved. Back to the problem. When I rebooted and found 0 Application Events - 36 Security Events and 30 System Events. I found no errors.
