Programs open on start up

Question

I have a Demension 4600, every time I turn it on and it reaches my 'Desk Top' I have 6 or 7 programs that  open automatically and I can`t figure out how to stop them. I`ve had this problem before but forgot what i did to stop it .

Start> All Programs> Startup see if the programs are in your startup folder.

From the Windows desktop go to Start>Run and type in msconfig. Go to the Startup tab and uncheck any programs you don't want to run at startup.
