Programs running in background
Please point me to instructions for reducing the number of programs (listed on my taskbar) running in background when I bootup. Thanks. mcleod415

Here are the programs which are running in the background on my computer when I boot up. I am not sufficently computer literate yo know which ones should be deleted and which should not. Kindly advise me. THANK YOU! Macgenes
igfxtray; HKCMD; mcupdate; mcagent; mcnhdlr; mcvsshld; Realsched; qttask; PCMservices; MPFtray; wkufind; Intel mem; HPWuSchd; HPCmPMGR; DSentry; AirCFG; wzcsshdr; g GAS SERV; oasclnt; AOL Host Mgr; AOL Dial; Port AOL; zlclient; Engutil; DRGTODISC; msmsgs; RxMon; D S Agnt; Adobe Reader Spe (Common Startup)
Also, "My Documents" with a file folder beside it is now displayed, along with a mailbox & two other AOL logos. My computer is getting very slow. Help!
