When you were going thru all the options to purchase the machine, there was an option to have a copy of the OS included.  You only purchased a license for the OS and not a copy of the OS.  I know it's splitting hairs, but the EULA has always stated this fact.  usually, you can call back to Dell and they will ship you a copy.

That you want the original disc or go thru the non-sense of burning that disc from your system.

Inspiron9300user,

Use the chat or email links here. If you are told that PC Restore has eliminated the requirement for an operating system CD try another connection. Eventually you will find someone who will understand the need for the CD and will agree to furnish it. (At least that has been the experience of posters to date.)

Inspiron9300user,

Excellent. The system does work (although sometime you have to beat it about the head and shoulders to force it to).
