When you were going thru all the options to purchase the machine, there was an option to have a copy of the OS included. You only purchased a license for the OS and not a copy of the OS. I know it's splitting hairs, but the EULA has always stated this fact. usually, you can call back to Dell and they will ship you a copy.
Ah thats good to no, but you see there is a reson i didnt choose the option :D, its because my dad ordered it and lets just say hes not so hot on computer stuff....but he got every thing on it i wanted.
Thanks for ur post By the way
ps...i read somewhere that after 21 days dell will not send you software that you have to buy it from a manufacuter or retail store?
Haha after i told him my dad forgot to order it he said well you do know there is the system recovery alrdy on ur computer so what am i supposed to say...

here. If you are told that PC Restore has eliminated the requirement for an operating system CD try another connection. Eventually you will find someone who will understand the need for the CD and will agree to furnish it. (At least that has been the experience of posters to date.)

Excellent. The system does work (although sometime you have to beat it about the head and shoulders to force it to).
