I have both Explorer and Netscape 7.2 on my computer. I use the Netscape but once in a while if a site doesn't work right with Netscape I just use Explorer for it. I stopped using Outlook Express and use Netscape's mail and news reader. Your might try reinstalling your Outlook Express to see if that cures the problem with it.

Thanks. I thought about reinstalling it.

How do you switch from netscape to explorer and how do you know which one you are on? I think netscape switched me to their browser yesterday and does being on netscape change anything with my computer?

One last question maybe you can answer. I don't have any firewalls that I know of but I can't get to MCafee's HOMEPAGE. Something is preventing me from accessing their site. I have no problem with any other site. I have symantec anti-virus and I wonder if they somehow have something build in their software to prevent me from accessing their competition.

I have desktop icons for both programs--usually I start Netscape only. If a site isn't working well in Netscape(this doesn't happen very often) I just minimize or close Netscape, click the explorer icon and go to the site in explorer. As for a firewall, if you have WindowsXP with SP2 you have a firewall(but it only affects things coming in, not going out). Possible the Symantec program you have is not just the antivirus but is a full security program including a firewall. Also McAfee has many sites (http://forums.mcafeehelp.com/, http://ts.mcafeehelp.com/ and more). See if you can get onto them. Hope this helps.

I guess I just have explorer because there is no icon on my desktop for netscape. I have windows 98 and the Symantec program I have is just anti-virus.

I can get to the McAfee help page but not the home page. That is weird. Any answers? Thanks.

Since you can get to the McAfee help site, why not ask for help about not being able to access McAfee's home page? To see if you have netscape, right click My Computer, choose explore and go to the C drive. Expand that and open the Program Files folder. See if there is a folder for netscape. If there is, you have it and you can put an icon(shortcut) for it on your desktop. If not, you don't have it. If you want it, go the the netscape web site, download it and install it. That will automatically put an icon for it on the desktop. That's about all I can suggest.
