Re-enabling Network Share Access
I've got a Samba share running on my server for a few friends of mine.
However, my university requires you to run a program on your machine before it is allowed access to anything on the network. One of the things done by this little app is disabling the computers' ability to access any shared folders on the network.
I never got a good chance to really try to fix this on my own machine, as I reformatted, which solved the problem, and am now running Vista, so I can't really play around with any settings myself (Vista has this option easily accessible).
What settings could have been changed to turn off access to network shares?

If XP has a Network and Sharing center, this is news to me...

The reason they turn that off is so that people who leave folders shared don't have anything happen to their boxen. Because even if they're pw protected, script kiddies can do wonders...
