Tried, once again to ininstall and got these: "Error 1722. There is a problem with Windows Installet package. A program run as part of setup did not finish as expected. Contact your or package vendor." When I clicked out, I got this"Fatal error during installation."
I've got the CD and unzipped Dell Support files and tried to reinstall. The install wizard then indicated that "you chose to remove Dell Support program" or some such thing. Then the error messages as I just described when I choose the uninstall option. This is stubborn.
I would suggest reinstalling Dell Support and then trying to uninstall it, but a search for reinstallation files for Dell Support shows no files avalable for the 4600C.

Remove Dell Support from Add/Remove Programs and the error should no longer appear.
