Re-Installing Adobe Reader

Can someone help me (step-by-step) on how to re-install Adobe Reader?  It was not printing PDF files and the Adobe people gave me instructions on how to remove it, and then sent me a link to re-install the latest version to see if that would allow me to print my PDF file.  The link wouldn't open and after a few seconds, the "hourglass" froze.  I had to shut down.  This happened over and over again.  They couldn't help me anymore.  They said I have a CD (I do) that will help me re-install my software.  Can anyone help this computer changelled individual get Adobe back?
