Well first step I'd try would be to borrow a standard dell keyboard off someone and to see if that works.

HI, The keyboard with the computer is the Dell keyboard. Remember that this system only has USB ports and no PS2 standard keyboard ports. The Bios is A03 but I cannot see any way to make the keyboard work to install the OS. Cannot get past the Press enter to continue, R for repair, and F3 to quit. The keyboard is completely non functional.

thanks Larry

I figured out this problem.  I have 4 Dell computers and I was trying to reinstall using the wrong CD.  They are all XP Home but the install disks have different versions SP 1a vs. SP2.  Clearly the SP2 disk was not the right one.  I did not remember which disk went with which computer.

I don't know if that will help with any USB problems.

I was having keyboard problems on Dimension 2350.  If mouse is functioning, go to Start, click Control Panel, and then click Accessibility Options.

On the keyboard tab, under FilterKeys, clear the Use Filterkeys check box.

Maybe this will help.

Did you ever get this resolved and if so, how?  I have exactly the same problem. Since the 9100 did not come with an XP disk, all I can think of to do is use a disk fromanother of my Dells but that doesn't work.  Any help appreciated.
