Refreshing my operating system

Question

I have an Optiplex Gx110 that has been running for years and over time  is simply jammed up with  the programs,deleted programs....etc,  etc.........I would like to gas the whole thing (Fdisk) and start fresh.Could someone,in detail explain how to do this.The computer came with a product a Recovery CD and Resouce CD.   Opitiplex GX110 P3 Windows 98SE 866 mhz 512 ram 2 hard drives-10 gig,20 gig I would like to make the 20 gig as C  drive, at present it is D drive . Being a Dell do I have to use these discs or can Windows be installed from another source?

1. Boot the Purple Recovery CD and format the drive and re-install.
2. put the resource CD in and install the chipset and audio and intel video drivers.
3. Reboot and voila you are done.

I would then suggest going to microsoft and downloading
Internet explorer 6

Then download directx 9.0c

Then windows media player series 9

Then do windows updates.

I would suggest doing this very soon as WIN98SE is going to be NON supported very soon.
