It probably has UNDO feature.
Or you could use the System Restore.
Additionally, the Last Known Good Configuration gives you an option to instantly revert to the last working registry.

Why do you do all that? Can’t you just scan for spyware?

Anything is possible.  Depending on how RecScrub defines errors will to some extent determine how many errors it finds.  Without seeing the error report no one can determine if the "errors" are causing any problems.  Lastly, you point out one of the biggest problems with registry cleaners, "How does one evaluate the results.”  It is a "Catch 22,” If one understands the registry enough to decide the validity of the registry cleaner's results, you probably could do it yourself, clean the registry, without the registry clearer, but if you don't know enough about the registry, you can't understand the registry cleaner’s results".

You can always post the results.   You have created a problem by starting two threads for what looks to be a single problem.  Since you have posted a HiJackThis log, I would wait until someone responds to that thread.

100mph,

The reason I want to fix the problems in my registary is because the spyware is not fixing my problem, other wise I wouldn't have even bothered to mess with it at all.

So should I post the results of the problems found in my registary?

Sorry for creating a confusion. I will wait as well. Thank you.

Nothing to be sorry for, its not a rule, but something that the HiJackThis responders prefer and recommend.  All you were doing was exploring all possible routes to a solution.
