reinstalling roxio easy CD creator 5.3.4 SP8 Basis

After reinstalling my OS (Vista, Business), I cannot get Roxio to reinstall. The first time I tried, I got a message about some sort of conflict with my installed drivers. The program then suggested I install the "default" version. I accepted. Once the program was installed, I got another message about a conflict. So I unstalled the entire thing--several components, that is.

Now, however, I put the CD in the computer, then get a message saying "Roxio blah blah blah has been detected. Do you want to install?" I click "yes", but nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

You need to install the roxio patch after it downloads.Either get it from the roxio site or dells driver and download page.

V 5.XX of Roxio easy CD Creator stopped being supported with XP SP2 (though some got it to work), so I'm not surprised that you encounter problems with it under Vista.

As far as the retail version of the Roxio Easy Media creator (which is the name of the later versions), I think the first version that was Vista compatible is v 9.1. Current version, 10 is.
