Reinstalling Sonic CinePlayer Software

Question

I just purchased a Vostro 1700, and I had to relead the OS due to an error I made. I have tried to reload the sonic cineplayer software however it says that I need DotNet Framework 1.1 or later to install. I have verified that I have Framerwork 2.0 on the laptop but the cineplayer will not install. What can I do to get this reinstalled?

.NET Framework 2 is not strictly speaking an update of .NET framework 1.1. Programs designed to use 1.1 may not be able to use 2. 1.1 and 2 can be installed side by side on the same PC. You can download .NET framework 1.1 from   http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=262d25e3-f589-4842-8157-034d1e7cf3a3   Then you will need to update it to SP1 from   http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A8F5654F-088E-40B2-BBDB-A83353618B38&displaylang=en   You will then need to go to Microsoft Update. let it scan your system, to get the subsequent security updates for .NET Framework 1.1.
