Removing a program!

By accident, I removed a program in my Windows XP Add/Remove programs option.
I have no idea what the program was, but I want to know and reinstall it without using sistem restore. Do you know any way to do that? TKS

bbarbab,

I believe you are mixing terms. You may be able to recover the program using system restore. You probably don't want to use PC Restore (the Ctrl-F11 procedure that restores the computer to its "as shipped" state). To attempt to bring the program back go to Start|All Programs|Accessories|System Tools|System Restore. Choose a date (in bold) prior to the date you uninstalled the program and see if the restored image has it back.

bbarbab,

No, you will not lose anything through system restore. System restore totally ignores all data files. Only if you have installed new programs or Windows Updates since the restore point was created will it make any difference. Any spreadsheets, email, documents, music files, graphics, etc. will remain exactly as they are right now.

Thanks Danny. But the thing is that I don't want to use the System Restore because doing that i will loose all the work I did after the last restore point made automaticaly by the Computer. Is there any other way to recover the program? Tks.

I like to use Goback to restore programs and files. Just a thought.

I want to say something, but I will keep my mouth shut. :D
