Removing software
I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 which I upgraded to 2 GB. My C Drive is too full and I need to delete some software. I have already moved all of my files to an external drive to provide more room. When I go to my control panel and click on programs to uninstall, I show 6 separate versions of Microsoft Visual C++2008 and 6 versions of MSXML 4.0SP2. Can I safely remove all but the most current version. These versions were installed through the automatic update feature. I am not sure what these programs do.

Those programs are for other programs that need them to run such as other Microsoft programs.

Microsoft Visual C++ is needed for some other programs to run. So if you delete/uninstall them its possible that some other of your programs don't work true.
