I did the same thing a few days ago. I got an instant automated e-mail acknowledge the recept of the request. The next day I got another e-mail from an actual person telling me that I should get the disks in 3 to 5 days. If I get them by next Tuesday I will be verry happy with the process.
Yes these are all the disks that shipped with your system. I did a search on yahoo for dell backup disks and followed the second or 3rd link to the dell support and it loaded a page for the request. You are allowed 1 set of disks then you're out of luck. save them in a safe when they arrive. I requested them last night and they are shipping today. Don't call Dell support they will charge you 49 bucks for the free disks. Go figure.

Are these the system restore disks because I need the reinstall and system restore cd's and was wondering how i would go about getting them.

If you live in the US, you can get them from HERE. If you live outside the US, then you will have to give your Dell support an ring.
