You do not seem to have much wrong with your log. But new malware is out that changes some of the default files for these so, just in case:-

tick these in hijackthis, AND WITH ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED, fix, ticked.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = about:blank
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchAssistant = about:blank
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {D6DFF6D8-B94B-4720-B730-1C38C7065C3B} - (no file)

Then reboot, and see if any difference is found.

Follow the link below to my site, malware section, and install spywareblaster and spywareguard from the links.

Also ie-spyad from here
With all those active you will be safer, do update them periodically.

If this did not cure your problem, I would take it up with AOL, who are often the cause of problems.

Your log was clean (apart from those) so your problem is not malware. I think you need to take this up with AOL.
