Go to device manager, click peformance, file system and check the slider on " System restore disk space use". Should be something other than Min. Click apply.
Thanks for replying to my post.Unfortunately I had tried your suggestions with no luck.. The box in StateMgr is checked and there is plenty of disc space allowed for restore, but there is still the checked box for disable restore in trouble shooting that I cant get rid of. Any other ideas will be appreciated.
In addition to the information at the following links, you may want to make sure your virus definitions are up to date, and that you've run a recent scan for virus activity.
Go to explorer and see if you have the folder labeled "_RESTORE". It is in the root directory local disc (C:) It is a hidden file so you will have to go to tools, folder options,view and enable "show hidden files and folders" If you do not have this folder you will have to retrieve it. If it is present see if there are any files listed in the sub folders "archive" and "temp". It should have many in each.

Go to start ,run, type Misconfig, click ok,startup and make sure *StateMgr has a check mark.
