restore disk

is it possible to make(at home) a restore disk for windows xp?

See if your computer meets this requirement.

This restores to factory settings. If you do not have a CD, contact Dell for a CD. More information the the following forum posting.

saddly my system restore appears to have been deleted.. darn siblings! XD thanks. ill ring dell, wish me luck.

if you get norton ghost you can make one with what ever you wont on it

When you get the OS CD, then you will have to download the drivers for your system.

You can use the tab above, "Technical Support" then click on "Divers and Download". Put in your service tag number and it will display the drivers you need for your system.

Ensure to load the chipset driver first and then the other device drivers. You can also use your service tag to find your original configuration. Same page under "Technical Support".
