Restore program
I got a Dimension 4700 with wind XP,, I like to get it how I got it the first time I got it, I want it to be like a new computer, I don't have the restore software; How can I get it or download it...thanks Earl

If your system was shipped after July 14, 2004, you have PCRestore on the hard drive. It will reset the drive to exactly the way Dell shipped it. Personal files, software you installed and all Microsoft updates will be lost when you run PCRestore, so essential to back eveything up on external media (eg, CD) first.
Reboot and press Ctrl-F11 as soon as you see the narrow blue bar at the top of the screen. Release both keys at same time and then follow the prompts.
If you don't have PCRestore, then the only thing you can do is to reformat the hard drive and reinstall XP. Everything on the drive will be deleted. You'll have to reinstall all the hardware drivers (in the correct order), plus all your software etc after loading XP.
