Restoring factory setup (but CTRL + F11 doesn't work)
I am trying to restore my XPS410 to the original factory setup. Dell lists a procedure using 'DELL PC Retore' for Windows XP. I am supposed to invoke this program by pressing 'CTRL' + 'F11' during boot.
I don't see Dell PC Restore by Symantec popup and I am wondering if there are any other options.
I used to have Windows XP Media center on the PC and I messed up the PC this morning by restoring an image on my laptop on it . I ordered the restore disc from Dell today but I would like to get going asap.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It you already formatted the hard drive / tried an OS install / used 'fix mbr' your PC restore by Symantec is broken.

I have no idea how this works as I've never had a need to tinker around with it, but it explains a possible way to fix and/or regain use of that Dell PC Restore By Symantec partition. I think it's a bit complicated though....
