Restoring old .qic files

Question

Hi - I have some old backup files that I wish to restore.  They were created in Windows 98 (MS BACKUP, I believe).  The files have the extension .qic and Windows XP does not recognize the file. Can anybody tell me how to restore these files (short of installing Windows 98)?  Thanks.

The solution you proposed (installed 98) is the solution. Or, try the manufacturer of that backup software. http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org/how_do_i_open_qic_backup_files_i.htm
