right click to CD/RW is missing??

Question

this has just started.....when i right click on a file and try to send it to the cd/rw to put it on a cd the right click option for cd/rw is now missing...it is not listed anymore...........i do not know what i was doing to make this disapear.....is used to be listed?

dell dimension 8400 bought new a month ago

Check these first

Right click the CD drive / Properties / Recording. Make sure that "Enable CD recording on this drive" is checked

Also go to Services and make sure that the "IMAPI" Service is not disabled

Sendto is a folder. Open Windows Explorer, browse to Documents & Settings\YourName\Sendto and add a shortcut to the drive. While there, you might want to add other frequently used shortcuts.
