Adding any other NIC driver then the Broadcom drivers goes without problems. (3com, Intel, both non native drivers)
Only this driver doesn't seem to be willing to get into the RIS installation.

Open and copy/paste the contents of the .inf for the Broadcom driver here in the forum. It sounds like that is where the problem may be.

Sorry but I can't paste it here, to large to fit in the message body box, over 20.000 characters long.
I have tried to use this driver as well, but didn't work.
Also I have tried the driver from the laptop's driver cd, but I don't have it here right now. Have to collect that one at work.

It is possible that the BINL parser is having difficulty with this section (only the area in brackets):
[BROADCOM.NTx86.5.1]
; very generic Broadcom NIC or LOM
%BCM4401.DeviceDesc% = BCM4401, PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4401
%BCM4401.DeviceDesc% = BCM4401_B0, PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_170C
You can try to edit it to read as:
[BROADCOM]
There was/is a bug in the BINL parser that processes the .inf files. The BINL parser has difficulty processing directives in sections like [BROADCOM.NTx86] as shown above. You have to change it to [BROADCOM] or else it will ignore the whole section. You may have to delete your existing .pnf file so the BINL service can create a new one.
This is only a possible cause for your problem. Hope everything gets fixed for you.
