RPSetup.exe txt file
I was browsing around on my PC (Windows 7), I clicked Computer on the start, double clicked c drive and found this text file called rpsetup.exe just there not in any folders or anything. Since I didn't know what it was I deleted it. I then googled what it might have been and I am reading that it was maybe a registry file? I don't understand why it would not be in the windows folder if it was a registry file. It looked like that it was just a log file of some sort, but then I guess why would it be an executable file. Is this going to cause problems for me? Thanks.

st1701,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
I found this information on the file rpsetup.
Rpsetupexe.txt (Log file of recovery partition found in DataSafe local program files main folder)
Could possibly cause problems with datasafe if you use this program. The information I have does not specify whether it will cause problems.

Jesse L.
Thanks for your response. So it is not part of the windows registry then and I don't need to worry about windows crashing on me? I don't use the datasafe program so I guess I don't have any worries there. It wasn't in any folder for some odd reason it was just rpsetup.exe and it opened in notepad.
