Run dll error in user.exe
hello all, well here is the thing, i tried to shut my pc down the propper wal tonigh tand i got that error message
Rundll error in user.exe and u have to click the ok to close it and when i click the ok button... u guessed it... it didnt shut down it went back active .. as if i was goign to do more work.
I dont like having to shut my pc down by hitting the power button on the tower.. its so bad for da pc lol so could some one shed some insight on to why im getting this error, i tried to use the Dr. Watson thing and i did what the help program said to do . and when i right clicked on dr. and hit the dr watson name it dissappeared
how can i run this also so i can diagonose other possible problems on my pc and get them fixed. ty for your help in advance

Can you tell us what software/hardware has been added to the system and what programs you are running when you try to shut down?

ok the past few times i have tried to shut down i didnt have anything runnign really other thanthe system tray
i use yahoo messenger, and y tunnel and aol.. but i shut themall down before i tryto shut the pc down. i dont leave them open. i am not sure if that was enough info i did go to this website but that rundll error would pop u also
www.housecall.antivirus.com i was gonna in stall the stuff to scan for viruses.. just to check the pc right. it installed and all but when i was to click the check boxes for what i wanted scanned( the c drive) and i hit the scan button the error would pop up. so that happen when i used internet explorer..
i went to that link using aol's browser and it all in stalled and stuff. but when i went to scann the same thign happened. and it kicked me off line
hope that sheds soem light on it

hi there is an error on my computer. a window kept popping up saying:
error loading C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~2\ADDRES~1\cnbabe.dll
The specified module could not be found
and the window says RUNDLL on the top hand corner.
please help me i want to get rid of it fast .... thanks

cnbabe.dll is part of the Common Name Toolbar spyware/parasite program. Get Spybot and Ad-Aware, install these programs, update them before running them, and allow them to get rid of all of the crud that they find.
