Running 16 bit application

Question

I have a customer who uses an Inspiron 5100 laptop.  He loaded our 16bit Windows application and when he tries to start it up, the hour glass comes on and then off.... nothing else happens.  I have had him reload the config.nt and autoexec.nt files and change the compatibility mode to windows 95... to no avail...   Any Help??  Ideas??  anything????   Ken

Which OS is installed? Windows XP? 98/ME?   Have you tried launching the application in Safe Mode?

Thanks for the reply,,, He has an XP OS and does not work in Safe Mode also....

This is a customized application using Delphi I (yes, one...  that is why it is a 16-bit application).

Without being familure with what the program is/does, it just makes it hard to determine what possibly could be going wrong.
