Runtime error connecting to AOL

Question

Hello to all I am new to this so please bare with me. I have just purchased a new Dell 5150c and I am having problems connecting to AOL broadband. I have Windows XP and am running Norton Security. When I connect to AOL an error message keeps appearing on screen as below; 'A runtime error has occurred'. 'Do you wish to Debug' 'Line 0' 'Error; Unterminated string constant' A number of different Line numbers can appear and keeps asking if I want to debug. This appears in a Microsoft scrip editor box and I cannot seem to debug. I have no idea why this is happening. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

This may work, I don't know:

Go to Start---Control panel--(classic view)

Internet options---Advanced (tab)

Check both "disable script debugging" boxes

Uncheck "Display a notification about every script error"

Click OK.

Thank you your reply. I will try your suggestion.

Just a little added info that I have seen is that when I try to debug and the debug box comes up it appears to be some programming lines mentioning javascript.

I mention this because AOL does not load fully i.e. some images and text do not appear.
