It would be most helpful if you told us which model computer you have.   On most models after reformatting and reinstalling Windows you have to install drivers in the correct order (Notebook System Software [for notebooks], followed by the chipset drivers, followed by drivers for your video adapter, ethernet network controller, wireless network adapter (if you have one), modem, audio, and any other devices that you may have.

You can download all fo these drivers from the Dell Supprt site by clicking on Drivers and Downloads at the lower right of the Dell Forum screen.  I can't provide more details without knowing which model computer you have!!!

Put in the Drivers and Utilities disk, like Steve said.

Now install them. Go right down the line, starting with the chipset first.

I have the Drivers and Utilities Disk. I cannot access the website from my Dell because the internet wont work. So to get to the dell website to download the drivers, first I must get my internet to work and I cant. :(

Duh!  How can you not be on the internet but still posting messages to these forums????

Download the drivers on the computer with a working internet connection!!

Copy the downloaded drivers to removable media.

Take out the removable media, carry it to the computer without an internet connection, then copy the files form the removable media to the problem computer and run them to install the drivers.

Download the chipset drivers first from the following link:

Get those to the 3000 and install them.

Next download the network drivers from the following link:

Get those to the 3000 and install them.

If your internet connection is dsl or cable, you can now set up the internet connection on the 3000 and download the rest of the files on that.

The drivers for your sound card are at:

There are three drivers listed for your video adapter.  (under Video at the following site)

You need to consult your original system invoice to know which one you need. For some reason, most people throw this extremely important document away and don't have it for a case like this.   If you cannot locate it, then you may be able to figure out which video adapter you have by going to the following site, entering your Service Tag number and then clicking on the Original Configuration tab.

Good luck.
