For some reason my screensaver is not working. I have it set for 2 minutes intervals with a password. But the screensaver never ever starts up... any idea's?? As I dont wont my screen to overburn.. I have tried different times, 5 minutes, 10 minutes it just never ever works. And all I have selected is the Win XP screensaver..

A falicy. If you have a "color" monitor (not the old monochrome - B&W or Green) it's constantly retracing so you don't really get burn in. And if you have an LCD monitor there is no "burn in".

Apparently some function is causing the screen saver not to run. Set it for a more realistic figure, such as 10, 15 or 20 minutes.

Another suggestion, do not use "standby" or "hibernate" as they will cause problems. Those functions were designed for old laptops to conserve battery power. The general concensus, even by a Dell moderator, is to only "power off" the monitor and hard drive at whatever time interval you want. I just got a new E510 with media center and it was preconfigured from the factory to "power off" the monitor and hard drive at 30 minutes.

I have fixed the problem... I looked at all the options and found it in the MSCONFIG.
I stopped ehtry.exe from booting up automaticly, and the screensaver works again, even after 2 minutes. To which I always have it set...

No problem. It;s a Windows fault, something to do with Wireless mouse and/or XP2..
