I just started using my new Dell...Windows XP, Media Player 10. Every time I play a video with Media Player, I get a pop-up security warning which says, "The current web page is trying to open a site in your trusted sites list. Do you want to allow this?"
"Current site: go.microsoft.com" [NOT! I've never gone to this site]
"Trusted site: wwwp.musicmatch.com"
"Warning: Allowing this can expose your computer to security risks..."
Why is it doing this, and how can I make it stop? Please help - this is becoming extremely annoying!
Thanks,
the Hun

Read this before you do anything. I read something about this a few days ago, and can't seem to locate it right now, but did find this:
You've got my attention...OK, how to I change my default media store? I don't see any options in MM to do that.
Thanks,
the Hun
Hi the Hun:
First, I don't know how to change your default store. Maybe some will come along and help you there. I have searched the internet for your problem and you are not alone, no consolation I know. I have not seen any "fix", only what some are trying to resolve this problem.
I'm going to give you 2 sites you can visit for info, 1 from Microsoft, and the other from MCSE. They have a "Windows Media Player" forum. Maybe you can find an answer there Good luck.
Thanks for your help, Barb, but I found the solution...uninstall that miserable piece of garbage program, Musicmatch!!! I just did, and no more annoying pop-ups! Maybe I could have done some more research and found a more technically correct resolution, but I can live without Musicmatch and the pop-ups were driving me insane. Case closed.

I did see where some did uninstall MusicMatch. I don't think there is a solution other than what you did, for now. Maybe Microsoft will eventually come out with a fix......don't hold your breath!!! At least you got rid of those pop-ups. They would've driven me crazy also.

This is not affiliated with "Dell" as the name might seem. Read it and see what you think .
