Send to Email Recipient Not Working
Hi. I was on MSN and used the right click to Send to Email Recipient from different programs so I didn't have to go into email and send as an attachment. I have now switched to Hotmail (with new 100 mb storage), and now it just asks me to sign in to NET Passport and then it takes me to a blank page. I don't know how to change any setting for this. Hotmail says ask software program. Software program says ask Hotmail. Hotmail says ask Explorer. Explorer says ask Dell. Everybody is passing the buck. Can any of you please help?

I'm using IE 6. I have XP and use a cable modem to get online. When it worked, I was using the cable modem with MSN 9. Isn't that web based also? Now I'm using Hotmail, which is also through MSN, so I just assumed it would work also. I don't use Outlook Express.
You have to right click on a file for the Send To to be viewed.
On my Explorer toolbar, the Send Page or Send Link also asks for my login info and then takes me to a blank page.
Thanks for you replies. I appreciate any input or brainstorming.

This should use the IE Program setup by IE > Tools > Internet Options , Programs tab , E-mail , the Default is OE but by clicking the display Drop Down Menu v , mine show you can also select "Hotmail" or "MSN Explorer" as well.
You could try re-selecting "Hotmail" & click "Apply".
-----------------
You can also just left click on Toolbar "Mail" Icon & select Page or Link.

I'm trying to do that now. I've changed my email default to Outlook Express. I have the Hotmail account sending emails to Outlook, but I cannot get it to send out. I have the connection setting wrong.
I'm on wireless cable internet, and it keeps wanting to dial something. What settings do I need to have? I have nothing in my Internet Options/connections box. I tried putting in my Broadband Connection, but it wants to dial something too. Any ideas for me?

I just setup my Hotmail in OE & it auto added Server Hotmail.
Which is http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp
Hotmail account Properties should show the above Server
Login name: full E-mail address , mine is gryjhnhpe@hotmail.com
Password: bullets.
Connection tab , mine is un-ticked.
Security: Algorithm 3DES

I had the default set to Hotmail, but it would just take me to a blank page when I click the Send Page or Send Link button. I now have switched it to OE which I have set to work with my Hotmail, but it won't send out because I have the wrong connection indicated and don't know what it should be.
When I talked about right clicking, I meant if I was in another program, such as word processing, and right clicked on a file to send it to someone, it gives the SEND TO MAIL RECIPIENT option, and that used to work, but now it doesn't.
Using OE as the mail default, it does bring up an email with the file attached, but it just won't send now, so I'm closer to getting what I want.

Well, I discovered that it needed to be set on HTTP, and now all my settings are like yours. It looks like it wants to send an email, but it won't. Now I get this error:
The service is currently unavailable. Try again later. Account: 'Hotmail', Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol: HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Service Unavailable', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCCF0
Hotmail is working fine, so I'm not sure what that means. I guess I'll leave it alone for a while to see. Thanks again, all, for your help. I'm close.
