Server 2003 installation on XPS 600 issues.

I am trying to install server 2003 (32bit)on an XPS 600 system (64bit) cpu, two sata drives, 4GB ram. When the os installation gets to the setup screen: press enter to install a fresh copy, press F3 to quit, and press R to repair. the installation freezes and nothing happens. In fact none of the three commands mentioned above will work. Is server 2003 not supported on an XPS machine? If anyone has experienced this problem before some feed back would be appreciated.
