sfc /scannow
When I try to run sfc /scannow on my XPS410 I am instructed to insert the Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD.
The CD that came with my computer is Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Version 2005 with Update Rollup 2.
When I insert this CD I get the error message under a Windows File protection screen, "The CD you provided is the wrong CD."
What brought this on is that when I tried to run Disk Cleanup I got a message that some of the original Windows files had been replaced with incorrect files.
Any suggestions on what I need to do to get the original Windows files back?

Take a look at the following link, this has worked for other board members in the past.

Did you get a chance to try the fix on the link I posted?
I'm not confident a replacement XP MCE disk is going to resolve this problem. Keep us posted.
