Slow Dell Quickset Loading experience

Hello people, this is my first post and well just wanted to say hello first before I start typing the details. Anyway back to the problem, I just bought this Inspiron 6400 around last week. Comes with a Vista home basic 32bit, and had some problem when it arrive. Well it's all fixed now, but I notice now it takes a while for the notebook to fully function. Dell Quicket would be the last program to load and the screen would go blank before it load up. So I am wondering if any of you guys here are experiencing the same thing? I will format the notebook one more time, as I did not format it after installing all kind of driver's while trying to fix a hardware problem. So I would just like to know if anyone is having the similar experience and will re-installing the vista helps? Thanks.

I have exactly that problem...  Quikset is a late loader which cotrols video/bluetooth as well as wifi so....it increases the loading time and then loads the video driver late, creating the blank screen effect briefly. Further, i find that, even though the internet icon is red 'x''d it works still.  Only after the network confirmation can I use email though.

Last but not least is the hard disk activity created by quikset which controls a great deal of cpu usage even with a dual core. At times the result is broken audio or video.

Has anyone found a cure?  I hate the though that not using quikset renders useless wifi finder on the side of my laptop
