The steps provided on the website are for Windows 7. You can also change the version of operating system and follow the appropriate steps. The web site also has links to run “Microsoft Fix it” that automatically optimizes the performance of the computer.

I was greatly dissatisfied with the performance of my XPS 8300 with the Dell factory settings they were dreadful. A Clean Installation or even better installation of a solid state drive and A Clean Installation of Windows 7 makes the system so much faster.
