software conflicts
i like the wincleaner utillities functions, which comes with a good file cleaner, and file destroyer. it also has and anti virus function. would this be in conflict with the macaffee virus check that i already have on my computer? how can i tell if my macaffee is really working? is there a system infor. that can tell if its working? it ask me to update current version, i do. then it will ask me again to update.

I would not run two anti-virus programs concurrently. Especially if one of them was McAfee which causes enough problems by itself.
You should be able to open up McAfee and see what date is on the virus definitions to see if they are current. If they are older than a week or so, they are out of date. How old is your system? Are you being asked to update because you have an old version of McAfee, or are you being asked to update your virus definitions?
