Software

Recently a program which has worked since April has suddenly stopped working. The error message is as below

"Windup32.exe has encountered a problem and needs to  close."

It then gives the opportunity to send an error report to Microsoft.

The software vendor claims it isn't their problem and is a Dell problem with their version of XP.

Anyone any ideas?

Kenjay,

The only hit a search turns up on windup32.exe relates to Duplimate, a card dealing program. What program are you having the the problem with?

Hi Denny,

That's the program for dealing cards. Normally I would run windup32.exe, which would then communicate with the dealing m/c etc. Now the file won't run at all. Just gives that error message.

Kenjay,

The software publisher is passing the buck. If the program ever worked with Dell's XP (which is the same as any other XP) the fault is not there.

I'm not familiar with the program. The best I can offer is that possibly downloading a new copy of the file that is producing the error message might resolve the problem. It is available here.
