windows xp keeps appearing NTLDR when i start up my pc
I'm not sure I understand what you mean?

well you need the recovery cd to fix it but i dont have one for my pc and i dont know where to get the recovery cd

Hi,
It can also be caused by a bad harddrive and yes you need windows xp cd to fix this.
First try running a daigs on your hardrive by pressing F12 while restarting and going to ide drive daignostics and see if all the test pass or not.
Incase all the test pass then your harddrive is good
Then call Dell techincal support and place in a request for windows xp cd.They ship out one for your computer for 20$.
You would recieve the cd in 3-5 business days and then you can repair your computer.
Else get a new harddrive for your computer too.Any IDE 3.5" would work for your computer.
