SP1 failed WAN miniport (SSTP) error code 39

Like everyone else i updated sigmatel drivers and SP1 was offered as a windows update;however,it failed four times due to the error stated above.I had to uninstall it by CMD because it would not update or uninstall thru device manager.After checking the origin of the error it comes back to TV_CENTER,which is my PCTV HD PRO usb tuner.So the audio driver is not the only problem with vista SP1.I have posted on pinnacles site but no one has a clue about this.Sent email thru to microsoft but i guess this has got them stumped also along with one to dell tech support.So i have tried this 4 times and gave up anyone have a clue how to get around this or fix it.Pinnacle does not have an updated driver and i do not think they ever will so i guess this tuner is ready for a replacement if no fix is available.Thanks for the time.
