spoolbd.exe

I recently got a virus on my computer. (It might still be here, I'm not sure) I scanned my computer for viruses, and it came up with the infected files. Which it tried to repair and when it failed, deleted them. This is where the problem starts. One of the infected files was my spoolbd.exe file. Whenever I start my computer, I get an error "Could not find spoolbd.exe". Now I can't run any .exe files. How I even got here is a mystery to me. If it is at all possible, can someone get the spoolbd.exe file and get it to me some how, and tell me in which directory to put it?

Please email the file to flashg20002000@yahoo.com

Thanks in advance.

I believe this is Danish/German. It probably says do an online scan at Norton.com, and use AdAware.

i don't find "spoolbd.exe" on my computer.. it may be assoicated with the virus that you (allegedly) had, but it also could be a legitimate file associated with something that i am just not using.. which antivirus program are you using, that found the virus? did it give you a name for the virus? if you tell us which antivirus program it was, and what the name of the virus was, we could look up more information about it. you probably are needing to delete a reg key leftover by the virus to stop the error message. you could try using this utility to see if you see the virus's entry registered, and then delete it, and maybe that will stop the error message.. here is the link.. download the zip file, rightlclick the zip file, then click "extract" to unzip it. then, just click "startup.exe" to run the program.. (it just provides an easy way to remove an entry, a regkey, if desired) especially, look under "hklm/run". http://www.mlin.net/files/StartupCPL_EXE.zip   http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

If you're using XP Home the spoolbd.exe is not an XP file. As stated it is either from a progarm, driver or whatever. You may want to uninstall and reinstall your printer driver. (Disconnect your printer first.) Did you search your system and registry for it ? If you systematically-uncheck one and reboot- uncheck your Startups and then if necessary your Services if you are computer-savy, then this may let you know the relevant program. It does sound like a printer driver, a virus or some spyware.
